The classic mint for chocolate work, one drop at a time. Our Peppermint Flavour Oil is pure peppermint essential oil - the only ingredient in the bottle - with a rich, soft aroma and the clean, cooling flavour that belongs with dark chocolate.

Tempered chocolate contains no water and is not compatible with water-based flavouring, so for mint thins, tablets and hollow figures this is the bottle to use; ganache, fondants, gelato and bakes contain both fat and water, and take either this or a water-soluble flavouring.

How to Use Peppermint Flavour Oil 

Peppermint is powerful, so add it drop by drop and taste as you go - the push-control dropper under the cap doses a single drop at a time. Work it through tempered couverture for thins and tablets, stir it into ganache or fondant for peppermint creams, or add a drop to a gelato base or a hot chocolate at the end. It is the sharper, cooler of our two mint oils - for a rounder, garden-mint note, choose our Mint Flavour Oil instead. Keep the bottle tightly closed, in a dry place at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
