Curling ribbon is a staple for gift packaging and hampers, and is a simple and effective way to finish off a box or bag of chocolates. How to curl the ribbon: Cut off the length that you require to tie around the neck of a bag or around a box, allowing extra to curl, and knot it securely into place. Using open scissors (or the blade of a knife), place the blade next to the secured knot with the curling ribbon over the blade and hold it in place on the edge of the blade, held at a 45 degree angle, using your thumb. By pulling the blade away from the knot towards the end of the ribbon, it will curl the ribbon so that it spirals into its typical curly 'ringlet'. If the curl is too long, simply trim the excess.
