Product Information

Nigay's salted butter caramel is cooked from salted butter, sweetened condensed milk and sugar, and tastes of exactly that: butter, cream and a clean line of salt. Nigay are a fifth-generation family business in Feurs, in central France, and caramel is the only thing they make.
The salt is the reason to choose it over a plain caramel. At 1.2g per 100g it carries through a dark chocolate shell without disappearing, which is what makes salted caramel bonbons taste salted rather than simply sweet.

How to Use Nigay Salted Butter Caramel

Bonbons and bars- warm gently and pipe into shells or moulded bars, leaving room for a chocolate base
Cut ganache - stir in 20-40% tempered chocolate for a firmer, sliceable caramel
Tarts and traybakes - spread a layer into a baked tart case before the ganache goes on
Buttercream and fillings - fold a spoonful through buttercream for a salted caramel layer
Desserts - warm and spoon over ice cream, puddings and plated desserts

Storing It

Store somewhere clean and dry, below 20C, and use within 12 months. There is no emulsifier in this caramel, so a little fat may rise to the surface in the tub. Stir it back through before you use it.

FREE next business day delivery by DPD or APC on all orders over £150 (ex. VAT).
Orders placed before 3pm Mon-Fri will be dispatched the same day for delivery the next business day.
From September to December, orders placed after 3pm on Friday but before 10am on Sunday will also be delivered on the Monday, excluding palletised orders.
Delivery on orders under £150 (ex. VAT) is £8 plus VAT. No minimum order requirement.
Orders including personalised items, to-order products or card cut to size are unlikely to be dispatched the same day, but will be dispatched as soon as possible.

Orders will be dispatched on a 2 day service
Delivery will be charged as a percentage of the order value, subject to a minimum delivery charge per order.

Palleted deliveries

If your order is large enough for a pallet, we may give you a quick call to ask if you’re able to accept them. Pallet Track can make sure pallets are delivered right to your door, but we do understand that not everyone is able to receive them.
