New to Keylink: Roasted Kadaif!

If you’ve been using alternatives like pailleté feuilletine, vermicelli, filo pastry, or even shredded wheat, then you’ll be glad to hear that we now stock roasted kadaif for making crunchy, crispy fillings and desserts.

Unsweetened and oven roasted until golden and delicious, these strands of phyllo pastry add a delightful crunchy texture to creamy spreads and fillings, giving your customers that multisensorial experience they crave.

Kadaif (also known as kadayif and kataifa) is well known in the Middle East and Turkey as an ingredient in lots of popular desserts, such as knafeh and tel kadayif. Similar to the pastry used in baklava, it comes in thin strands rather than sheets.

Made popular in the UK by the viral Dubai style chocolate bar, kadaif pairs perfectly with nuts like pistachio, and sweet, creamy flavours like milk chocolate. Our kadaif is dry roasted with no added sugars, flavours or preservatives, so provides a plain, slightly savoury and unsweetened flavour and crispy texture to your creations.

Available in 10kg boxes and 1.4kg tubs, you could be whipping up a batch of pistachio chocolate bars in no time! To save you time searching, we’ve added everything you’ll need to make Dubai inspired chocolate bars and more to the This Works With carousel on the product page.

Recipe Inspiration

The original Dubai bar that sparked the trend, the ‘Can’t Get Knafeh Of It’ bar from FIX Dessert Chocolatier, contains pistachio cream, tahini, and kadaif pastry. It was inspired by the creator’s love of knafeh, a popular Arabic dessert combining shredded pastry, sweet cheese and a sugar syrup called attar, then decorated with pistachios.

If you’re looking for ideas for what to make with your newly acquired kadaif, then we’ve got a few suggestions for you:

We also think kadaif would taste fantastic in our Lemon Cream Spread, Milk Chocolatey Hazelnut Spread or White Chocolatey Hazelnut Spread, or even Tintoretto!
