Griottines and Framboisines are premium quality fruit, steeped in liqueurs until perfectly sweet and delicious. They are great as decorations on cakes and desserts, or in bonbons, hot chocolate or even cocktails! Griottines are made from the Oblachinska cherry, a special type of Morello cherry found only in the Balkans. These are then macerated in a succession of alcohols, according to an age-old, perfected recipe, that eventually produces the elegant and indulgent Griottines. Available chopped, stoned and with or without stalks, these versatile, ruby red fruits make the perfect decoration for a decadent Black Forest gateau.
Framboisines and Cassis are raspberries and blackcurrants, made according to the same, traditional recipe as Griottines, with slight variations to the liqueur for flavour. Pop a couple of cassis in a champagne flute and top with crème de cassis and champagne for a sophisticated Kir Royale.
